Fitzgerald House HuntersChristopher and Tesha Alexander
![]() We were looking for a house in Fitzgerald b/c Christopher wanted to come back to his 'roots' (hometown) to start his career as a teacher. We were hoping to find a house that had at least four bedrooms and at least two bathrooms. Other amenities that we were hoping to find were a large laundry room, a large yard (and hopefully a fenced yard for the children), a garage, and overall a house with a lot of space so that the children have plenty of room to run and play and we have plenty of room to entertain. Finding a house in a well established and safe neighborhood was a priority as well as finding a house that was cheery and inviting with plenty of natural light. #1
![]() We loved the fact that the house was brand new. We loved the tremendous amount of natural light that illuminated the interior of the house and the open floor plan. It had the large laundry room, gorgeous tile on the floors and beautiful cabinetry. The master bath was to die for and it did have a carport which was a plus! #2
![]() The yard here was absolutely gorgeous - beautifully landscaped and large; however, there wasn't enough space in the back yard to meet our needs. The fact that it had four bedrooms and three baths was a plus. Also, it had a family room as well as a formal living room which we absolutely loved. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all good size. The house was in an established and safe neighborhood which was a plus. However, it was at the top of our budget. #3
![]() This house had 'country living' written all over it, yet it's still close to town! It had a certain charm about it - inside and out. The yard was exactly what we were looking for; the back yard was large and fenced. It also had a huge storage building which was a plus. All of the rooms, including the bathrooms were large; and it had four bedrooms! The house had a lot of windows which let in natural light. The homeowners had recently renovated so there would be very little work that needed to be done on our part. The original hardwood floors in the living room and down stairs bedroom were absolutely gorgeous, and the fire places in the living and dining rooms added to the home's charm and originality. The laundry room exceeded our expectations as did the large pantry. The first concern we had was the fact that the house was a two -story with a large flight of stairs; we had to consider the safety of our children. Also, there was no garage or carport which we were really hoping to have. The price, however was way below our budget, and that was a major plus! Which house did they pick?
